A series of Custom Tours in the World's most exciting wine regions, designed especially for The Wine Club's customers by Avalon Wine Tours
Peter Smith, the owner of Avalon Wine Tours, personally hosts all The Wine Club's tours, with the assistance of his own local guides. On most tours there is also a member of The Wine Club's expert staff to enrich the experience and make sure our customers are happy!
This year, we will take you to Chile, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Piedmont and Tuscany.
At all the best times of the year! We are in the vineyards at Harvest, during Vinification, and for the most important Festivals of the winemaking year in both Spring and Fall.
We use our combined expertise to make each tour truly unique. We have meals in the private dining rooms and candle-lit cellars of the world's top wineries. We organize in-depth tastings and educational sessions. We stay at deluxe hotels, sometimes in wine Chateaux themselves. We enjoy fabulous meals throughout the tours. We do things you simply can't do on your own, without our expert guides and planning!
The Wine Club's customers asked us to! They were looking for a "real wine tour". We decided that the world's best wine store should be able to organize the world's best wine tour - and we did! Our first two tours to Bordeaux in 1996 were a resounding success - some of the best tours Avalon Tours has run! For a first-hand opinion, call Peter and ask for the number of someone who was there!
