La Rioja is a very beautiful region full of wineries and historic places. The Tour has an itinerary which allows for some flexibility. Therefore, and based on the chats we hold with the Clients, it is possible to make unscheduled stops in villages and/or more wineries which will no doubt make the experience more enjoyable.
Our Spanish itineraries run several times each spring, summer and fall season.

DAY 1
16:00 – Departure from Madrid to Haro (330 Kms.), wine capital of La Rioja region.
20:00 – Arrival and check-in at the Hotel Los Agustinos (****), XIV Century convent magnificently refurbished and turned into a modern hotel. This will be our headquarters for the tour.
Welcome cocktails and dinner at the hotel.
DAY 2
10:30 – Departure to ELCIEGO (40 Kms.)
11:30 – Visit to Bodega MURUA and tasting of their wines.
13:00 – Lunch at Bodega Murua.
15:30 – Departure to LAGUARDIA (6 Kms.) Medieval fortress village, rich in monuments, palaces and churches. It is also the headquarters of the HOUSE OF WINE. Guided visit through the village.
17:30 – Visit to Bodega Baron de Oña for wine tasting.
19:00 – Departure back to HARO and the hotel.
21:00 – Dinner at restaurant BEETHOVEN (6/10).
DAY 3
10:00 – Departure to village of NAJERA (32 Kms.) old capital of La Rioja. Visit to the village, the nearby town of Anguiano and the Benedictine Monastery of NUESTRA SEÑORA DE VALVANERA.
12:30 – Departure to village of CENICERO (17 Kms.) and visit Bodega VIÑA SALCEDA.
13:30 – Lunch at Bodega Viña Salceda.

15:30 – Departure to LABASTIDA (15 Kms.)
Visit to
Bodega REMELLURI for wine tasting.18:00 – Departure back to HARO and the hotel.
20:00 – "Tapas Tour" around La Herradura, small area surrounded by tapas bars.
DAY 4
9:00 – Departure to SANTO DOMINGO DE LA CALZADA, (25 Kms.) founded in the XI century, which became very important in the Road to Santiago. Guided visit to the town.
10:30 – Departure to SAN MILLAN DE LA COGOLLA (19 Kms.), X century village with two spectacular monasteries, Suso and Yuso.Guided visit to the village.
12:30 – Departure back to HARO (40 Kms.) to visit
Bodega RIOJA ALTA.14:00 – Lunch at Bodega Rioja Alta.
16:30 – Afternoon free in Haro. Gastronomic and antiques shopping service available.
20:30 – Farewell dinner at Restaurant LA VIEJA BODEGA (6/10) in the nearby village of CASALAREINA.
DAY 5
10:30 – Check-out and departure to EZCARAY, small village situated next to the San Lorenzo mountain, the highest in La Rioja (2.303 mts.). Visit to the village.
12:30 – "Tapas Tour" around the main square.
13:00 – Lunch at Restaurant ECHAURREN (7/10), probably the best in the region.
15:00 – Departure to Madrid.
19:00 – Arrival to Madrid and return to your hotel.
