Hosted by Peter Smith, the owner of Avalon Tours, and his professional staff. A Bordeaux expert and personal friend of the winemakers we visit, Peter's empathy with the French people will ease you comfortably into their culture.

This is a very special tour, including an invitation
to celebrate the flowering of the vines with the Jurade, the Winemakers’ Brotherhood of St. Emilion that can trace its roots back over 1100 years of history. Enjoy St. Emilion, Bordeaux's prettiest, walled Mediaeval village filled with art galleries and wine shops.

In addition, you will benefit from Peter's membership of the Jurade of St. Emilion as you join him at the Festival banquet of the Confrèrie of Winemakers of St. Emilion. A private six course extravaganza, accompanied naturally by a dozen or so of St. Emilion's finest wines, this is the ultimate way to celebrate a week of visiting the world’s most famous wine country!

Space is limited so reserve early to confirm your space at the Confrèrie luncheon!

Immerse yourself in Bordeaux in the company of the World’s most talented winemakers!

Unique Luxurious Accommodation:
A small hotel overlooking the vineyards of Chateau Margaux with an excellent restaurant - a charming hotel in a tranquil setting, five minutes’ walk from the center of the village.
A 19th century château and its luxurious annexes, located just outside the mediaeval village of St. Emilion in the middle of the vineyards. This hotel boasts a wonderful gourmet restaurant as a fully-equipped spa!

Gourmet meals in exceptional places as:
The Lion d’Or, the Médoc’s most famous bistro – great food and great atmosphere!
The St. Julien – locals rate owner Claude the best chef in the Médoc…
Lunch in the private dining room of Monsieur Dourthe, owner of Chateau Maucaillou.
Le Sapriens, next to the vineyards of Chateau Guiraud in the village of Sauternes.
St. Emilion’s Clos du Roi – tiny but exceptional!
